How to ask Allah Ta'ala for Good ( اللہ تعالیٰ سے مشورہ کا طریقہ/دعائے استخارہ)

 

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا, قَالَ :كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

يُعَلِّمُنَا الِاسْتِخَارَةَ فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا ، كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ,

 

There is a hadith on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah (RA).

He says: Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace

To make us istikhara in all our affairs

He used to teach in the same way

Teach any surah of Quran.

 

يَقُولُ : إِذَا هَمَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِالْأَمْرِ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِ الْفَرِيضَةِ ،

ثُمَّ لِيَقُل:

 

He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say that when someone

If there is an important matter in front of you,

After praying two rakats of Nafil except for duty,

Recite this dua.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ, وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ ،

 

"O my God! I thank you for your knowledge

I ask for good and thanks to your power

I ask you for strength

And I seek your great grace.

فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ ،

That power only has and I have no power.

Knowledge belongs to You and I know nothing.

And You are the Knower of all hidden things.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي

فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ ،

O my God! If you know

That this work for which istikhara is being done

My religion, economy and the end of my work

It's better for me

So bless it for me

And make it easy for me to achieve it

And then bless me in it.

وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي

فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ وَاقْدُرْ لِي الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بہ.

 

And if you know that this work

The end of my religion, world and my work

It is bad.

So remove him from me and remove me from him.

Then grant me good fortune,

Wherever it is and satisfy my heart with it.

. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to replace this work with the name of this work.

This is the real method of viewer istikhara.

All other methods are artificial.

Istikhara should be done by the person himself.

It should not be done by someone else.

Allah Almighty made us understand and act.
